Quarantine Diary

08.04. - 05-05.20

@noceur_diary is a digital visual chronicle documenting the experience of the beginning of COVID-19 quarantine, shared on Instagram from April 8 to May 5, 2020. The Quarantine Diary was a deeply personal project created by Gosia Jagiello with participation of Kozue Kawamura (a florist) and Hiroyoshi Tomite (a writer), who shared a home during lockdown. It grew out of their shared experience in social isolation, offering a creative response to the challenges they faced together.

Isolated from the outside world, the trio turned quarantine into a space for creative and intellectual exchange. With limited resources, they used flower arrangement, photography and poetry to express themselves, finding beauty in everyday moments and a renewed appreciation for the ordinary. Flowers became a source of comfort and connection to nature, helping them release emotions.
